Excited to revamp the landscape at this Dick Clark House
Meanwhile, back at the ranch...
3,500 acres of magic (and a few snake fences)
Modern Ranch - shaping up
Excited to see the pool and pedestrian access taking shape on our modern ranch project in Dripping Springs. You can't see it from here but the property is surrounded by Texas Madrone Trees - amazing! Happy to be part of a great team: Redbud and Webber Studio
Birdcage
We are excited about this dual purpose porch enclosure. By day it stores bikes, sports equipment and hand tools - By night it becomes illuminated and serves as outdoor lighting.
Terrace Access
Stairs, railings, planters and more connect this Tarrytown landscape and its various levels. Things are growing in nicely and more photos coming soon!
Lakeview
Westshop is super excited to be a part of this amazing project overlooking the Colorado River. Stay tuned!
Just finished!
We are so excited about our recent collaboration with Matt Garcia!
Simple!
Enclose call
The rain has been trying very hard to slow us down, but slowly and surely.
Inside//Outside
This view from the top will soon be covered in synthetic turf to allow for a connection to both the interior living area and outside. Stay turned for a view from the bottom looking up!
Digging it...
On the boards
Located just outside Austin this modern ranch is surrounded by beautiful madrone trees. Coming soon...
Living in the Landscape // March 4th

The furniture has arrived
Things are quite different at 335' above downtown Austin. Today was sunny and calm but it can get windy and chilly quickly up here. We love this new furniture from Belgium that has anchored cushions to make sure nothing takes sail.
Urban Bucolic
30+ floors above Austin, Texas Westshop created a roof garden filled with flora and fauna that blur the lines of what is a natural setting. The provided sculpture was part of the Longhorn Stampede charity event and for a great cause.
A holiday visit to the past
10 years ago I had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of the architectural team that brought the California Academy of Sciences to life. What an honor! It was great to visit over the holidays and see what plants flourished and how well the museum is utilized. Click the photo for the full tour!
Design Competition // Bus Shelter
Westshop + Yancy Studio teamed up for the AIA and Capital Metro bus shelter competition in September. A big thank you to the jurors and the fellow design teams. It was a great way to spend a Saturday.
Resource + People friendly
A tiny back yard and a thirsty front yard drove the design of this Travis Heights update. We replaced the grass with a syn lawn and a lower water ground cover and created a large entertaining area.
Pemberton refresh
Overgrowth and lack of maintenance hid this gem from the street. We are in the process of revealing the charm.
Refining nature + Engaging culture
We helped the client site the two pieces of sculpture at their Clarksville dwelling and then transform the landscape to be a minimize water use and create a peaceful outdoor gallery environment.
